Land records can be a unique source for revealing family relationships. They provide evidence of an ancestor’s residence at an exact date, and the types of transactions can reflect his economic circumstances. The subject's occupation and signatures are usually provided.

(BUR) refers to non-circulating items located in the Burlington History Room. To view these items, please present your library card or other identification at the 2nd floor Information Desk, Central Library.
Halton Land Registry Office
The Halton Land Registry Office provides registration and client self-serve search services under the Registry Act and the Land Titles Act for the geographical area of Halton. Land registration records are fully automated. Access to electronic registration and to electronically searched automated records is available from this office.
